paul3Mr. Tran founded DECON in 2005 because of the inefficiencies he has seen and experienced in the building industry. The standard practice is to hire three separate parties with three separate contracts. The cost of fees, overhead, insurance and duplicated management make medium-size projects too expensive. With DECON, he is bringing a new approach to the age-old building industry by vertically integrating the process. In fact, the name DECON represents a hybridization of design and construction.

His responsibilities at DECON are both broad and specific, aside from providing the vision, direction and support to the management team, he is also managing the direct job costs and overhead expenses by negotiating with suppliers, vendors and sub contractors at length and effectively using his knowledge of industry markups and practices. Finally to promote the integration of the business, he spends a significant amount of time coordinating between the design, development and construction staff within the company.
